Pat Dolan is an artist, writer, teacher/mentor, who brings humor and healing to all she touches.
I have rescheduled the angels made me do it performance /book launch to Sunday, December 11, at the Cabaret Theater, The Temple of Music and Art in Tucson. The event will include stand-up routines, angel storytelling, images of my angel paintings, and much fun and laughter. My book is almost ready to go to the designer and will include 15 color angel paintings. Here's something to wet your whistle - Excerpt from 'The Angels Made Me Do It'.
“This book started by describing my experiences talking to the dead via Brazilian White Table sessions. The purpose of the White Table is to assist the deceased in crossing into the Light. A group of people acting as mediums sit together in meditation and are open to receiving the spirits of the dead and speaking for them. Before we begin each White Table session, we call in the spirits of the five Archangels--Archangel Michael, Archangel Gabriel, Archangel Raphael, Archangel Uriel, and Archangel Metatron --to create a dome of protection while we do our work in the land of the dead. Little did I know that this would be the beginning of my relatively close relationship with the world of angels.
While writing the book, I was guided by a group of spirits. Later, I discovered that the spirits were actually the Five Archangels. At first, they kept me in the dark about their identity. Sly ones, those angels, and the archangels were the ones who requested that I become their scribe. Demanded might be a better choice of words. I mean no disrespect, but they can sometimes be pushy despite all their love and Light. I'm just saying.
So I decided to just go along with the angels' program. Okay, and maybe to whine a bit. Part of our conversation was about me not feeling qualified for the job. They soon convinced me I was the right person and could do it. Then the Archangels tapped into my skills as a visual artist. Not only did they want me to be their scribe, but they wanted me to paint "their portraits and portraits of their Angel friends". Painting the angels was an easy request for me and great fun."
